At each weekly Thursday morning breakfast meeting, The Woodlands Kiwanis Club offers a program chosen from a wide range of informative and entertaining topics.
An informal, collegial group that is part of Kiwanis International, the Woodlands Kiwanis Club warmly welcomes visitors and new members.
Currently active club participants include our members - men and women from all walks of life and age groups - plus community service-oriented teenagers from area high schools, the Kiwanis Education Youth (KEY) Clubbers. |

Please join us this Thursday (11/6) at 7am for our regular breakfast meeting. We will be back at the Community Center!!! The Rev. Warzell Booty with be speaking to us about the Tamina Community.
Please let Suzanne Ulrich-Carr know if you are able to help on Tues., Nov. 11 or 18th at the Y. The program is for 3rd and 4th graders at Houser Elementary and is an incentive which falls under the Kiwanis projects of BUG (Bringing Up Grades). She just needs some adults to help keep an eye on the children as they participate in activities at the Y on Shadow Bend.
Kiwanis International has asked all Kiwanis members to submit applications for background checks so there will be no questions when we work with the children, whether through Sp. Olympics, Fishing Tournament, Key Club, or mentoring. Usually we would have to pay for this, but Suzanne has made it possible for us to apply through the YMCA. If you have not already done this through a school where you volunteer, please see the attachment below and get it back to Suzanne.
Fronica will be out of town all of next week so this is your reminder for next week (11/13) also. Our speaker will be DuWayne Gandy former NFL Official and former Lt Gov Kiwanis from Tyler area.
The board meeting will be on the 12th because Paul and Carol are both unable to make it this week. The meeting will be in the conference room at Paul's office. No lunch will be provided. |
